About me
Story
I didn't start out planning to work in software. I studied petroleum engineering, then took a programming class and got hooked. Before long, I was spending my free time writing Python scripts and teaching myself how to build things.
That change eventually took me from oil and gas into robotics, where I've worked on everything from data acquisition and databases to web apps. I'm happiest when I'm dropped into a problem I haven't seen before and have to figure it out as I go.
Outside of work, I'm usually working on a side project, whether that's digging into car lease hacking, tackling a home improvement project, or writing a script to make something easier. I like figuring out how things work and trying things myself. Away from those projects, I'm usually running, traveling, or spending time with family.
